ABOUT
US
There is obviously
a huge lack of quality information on behavior, amount and usage
regarding disinformation on the internet.
The disinfojournal
deals with topics in all areas of disinformation. This includes,
but is not limited to library and information science, information
technology, electronic publishing, database management, data mining,
knowledge production, knowledge dissemination and of course malinformation
and disinformation approached from sociological, philosophical,
psychological, theoretical, technical, and applied perspectives.
The disinfojournal came out for the very first time on January
07, 2003.
The editors
and authors of the disinfojournal
try to bring more structured and certified information (web mining
studies, bibliometric, informetric and webometric articles, review
papers, empirical case studies, experimental analyses, information
literacy frameworks and internet research reports) to the unsorted
and from the scientific perspective unreflected field of disinformation
and malinformation on the internet. The main concern of the disinfojournal
is to risk a scientific empirical approach to this new research
field. We are focused on the scholarly examination and description
of disinformational phenomena on the internet based on a multidisciplinary
discernment.
