The announcement of the symposium
“Möglichkeiten ehrenamtlicher pädagogischer Arbeit in
Bibliotheken“ arranged from the department of further education
at „Freie University of Berlin“ in May 2003 was the crucial
point to create the project “Idee zum Buch”.
The idea comprised that the presented lectures should not only be available
to the participants of the symposium.
All participants of the project were convinced by this important topic
which is in a lot of terms “a hot iron” and should also
been spread to the public at large and possibly reanimate the discussion
about the topic “volunteering”.
